In the last month, I and some of the senior members of APRIL Canada had the pleasure to attend an annual conference at APRIL’s global head office in Lyon, France.
This year the theme of the conference was the company strategy for growth in the coming years. It was a truly inspiring event. Not only were we able to connect with other APRIL leaders from across the world, but we also saw key initiatives led by the team in France and some fantastic strategic direction for the company worldwide.
I was struck by two key facts pertinent to our Canada business.
Firstly, it was incredible to see what a global business APRIL is and that it is growing and evolving depending on the market needs in each country. APRIL worldwide is present in 33 countries and insures over 6million clients. The map below, highlights just how strong the reach of APRIL is around the world. Together across the world we are united to change the image of insurance.
Secondly, we are the biggest company for APRIL outside France. This is important because it shows how strategically important we are for the business and their intentions to support us moving forwards. So APRIL Canada is in a unique position. Not only are we the largest independent MGA in Canada, but also an important part of a global and influential insurance organization throughout the world.
My leadership team and I feel incredibly proud to work within this organization and to meet the group’s Ambitions to take the company from strength to strength in the years to come.
