Dear all, As always, I hope this e-mail finds you well. I also hope that you enjoyed our April Fool`s joke last Friday about the launch of our new ‘Prank Protection Plus’. The team certainly enjoyed pulling it together!
Whilst this was, of course, a light-hearted idea, we do take our product development activities very seriously and are continually reviewing and improving our packages on key niches. In the last six months alone, we’ve revamped our packages for realty, hospitality, manufacturing, student housing, short and long-term residential rentals (including AirBnb exposure), and residential for credit impaired policyholders and new Canadians. We’ve also created and launched new offers for construction / builders risk, product recall, food contamination, environmental impairment and non-standard high value homes.
It’s certainly been a busy few months, but this activity has been driven from a number of meetings we’ve had with our broker partners about being clearer in our offer. One of our great strengths from our scale, diversity, experience and underwriting expertise, is the incredibly broad range of risks that we can underwrite. However, this can also sometimes be a weakness, with a theoretical product range so wide that our broker partners are not always sure of our “hot spot”.
So, whilst we will absolutely continue to be your “Out of the Box” provider who can help you with some weird and wonderful risks, we will also continue to be clearer about what we see as our key areas of focus.
While I’m writing, I also wanted to introduce our promotion for the month of April. Given our name co-incides with the month, we though this would be the perfect opportunity to give back, and reward all of the individual insurance brokers and producers who chose to place their trust in us. We’re therefore delighted to launch an APRIL rewards program for the month of April, offering prizes (or charitable contributions) to any broker or producer who places at least two new business policies with us in the month. Where your brokerage is in the province of Quebec, for regulatory reasons we will be defaulting to a charitable donation in lieu of rewards. Full details can be found here.
Best wishes for April, and thank you for your continued support and feedback.
