How do you ensure service continuity? How can I reach you in the coming days/weeks?

APRIL is fully committed to ensuring the continuity and availability of our services. All our teams remain committed, even remotely, to support you on a daily basis.

 

Our teams are therefore 100% functional remotely to serve our brokers, from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. You will find all our contact details by clicking here.

Is APRIL able to continue paying my commissions in the current context?

We are well aware of the financial difficulties that this situation can cause you, so our accounting team remains more committed than ever, as do the rest of our teams.

 

The commission payment process remains under control and you will receive your commissions in the same conditions as in previous months.

Are there any payment terms?

At APRIL, our primary focus remains your protection and that of your customers. Each case requiring financial adjustments will be studied on a case-by-case basis, with a willingness to support you.

Does the claims department continue to function during the crisis?

Yes, the claims department remains available to respond quickly.

I have suffered a loss, how do I make my claim?

You can write an email to claims@april.ca

I have to provide signed documents and I have no possibility to sign and send them.

We will accept an email from you (an official email including your name, and not “littleflower@gmail.com”) clearly indicating that you have read the documents, that you understand them and that you accept their content.

Are new applications and endorsements processed?

The whole team is at your disposal!

Are you still doing broker meetings?

Yes, but not in person for the time being. We have web conferencing tools, like Zoom and Teams, avalaible to all Business Development and Underwriting teams. Please reach out to us if you would like to know more about APRIL, our Strategic Niches, and our Quick Quote options.

Is there a security breach risk when using Zoom? 

In light of the news reports and businesses reactive measures to ban the use of Zoom, we would like to reassure our partners: 

 

-At APRIL Canada, all Zoom meetings / webinars are password protected. Additionally, the Host is the only person that can share desktops and authorize the same. We have implemented all the necessary and available security enhancements across the platform

 

-APRIL Canada does not hold sensitive client (health, government information…). Meeting are not used to discuss private and privy nature 

 

– APRIL Canada does not subscribe to open rooms

 

We will continue to monitor the information and statement progress made by the company Zoom, as well research available alternatives doing our due diligence to ensure that quality and security are not compromised.
